Fitness is an important part of one's lifestyle especially in the face of rising cost in healthcare. For beginners, here's how you can start:

1. Find your purpose & set a goal. What's your purpose in getting fit? Is it for work, sports or maintaining a healthy family life? Set a goal that is realistic & achievable, without incurring serious injuries.

3. Start small & build on it. You're supposed to get fit, not get killed in the process.
4. Set a budget for it. Gym membership & buying any gear cost money.
5. A person training for the Olympics has a different requirement from a person who just want to stay fit & healthy in his/her 40's. Do & wear what is comfortable & works for you. You're not doing this to impress anyone.
